Best Wordpress plugins

I thought I would share what I feel are the best Wordpress plugins. For non blog’rs sorry to bore you. For anyone wanting to learn about Wordpress, this should help.

Google Sitemap Generator this helps google index your blog in a google sitemap compliant file.

Ultimate Tag Warrior. This helps build tags, another way of assigning keyword like terms to your posts.

SEO Title Tag. Another tool to get your blog pages to start out for search engines. If you want to know more about search engine optimization, google it. This is just one tool.

Subscribe to Comments. I have found that this is a great way to keep the conversation going. A casual reader might make a comment, and never know if someone responds, this solves that problem.

Challenge. Akismet is great! However I was getting 100s of spam comments a week. It took too much time to skim what was flag’d as spam. Now with Challenge, to comment you have to answer the question “are you awake”, presumably if you are commenting on a post, the answer is “yes”. This has saves tons of time trying to monitor what Akismet called spam.

Improved Wordpress related posts plugin. Fairly new for our site, but we feel it helps keep the readers finding more info in our posts related to the topic at hand.

Sociable. I have mixed feelings on this. Seems to work okay, but I am guessing there is better. If anyone has a better tool, please let me know.
