If you see me on the street
I have had one or two people say they will say hi to me if we run into each other. However…. I am probably not who you are looking for.
My career, yep, is as a realtor in Minneapolis (okay, Minnesota is where I have my license, but Im usually in Uptown, or thereabouts). However, I probably dont fit, in fact I know I dont, the mold of the traditional realtor.Â
Chances are I have jeans on, in the summer a tshit, on a good day even a clean tshirt. Winter garb, jeans and a sweatshirt. I have not worn a tie in well over a year. In fact I cant remember the last time I wore a shirt with a collar.
My hair is long (er). I hate it as do most guys. However my wife likes it, as do most women.
Ive got the gut of a married (8 years) guy, sorry Sunny (if you hadnt guessed it, we, Derrik and Sunny are married), Im working on it.
Ive recently been asked “do you own socks?”, I do but usually only worn when playing tennis. Â
My daily ride is a Honda minivan. I have a fancy car or two, but I dont make it all shiny to impress anyone, I buy these cars because they are fun for me (its also fun for our kids, twin boys, Griffin and Gavin), not other drivers.
Im not quite as sloppy as this sounds, Im just a regular guy. If you are looking for a realtor in Minneapolis, or the Twin Cities, that knows their stuff, is good at what they do, no pressure just a guide in the process, who doesnt take themselves that seriously, but takes what they do, takes your decision and home buying/selling process extremely seriously, and has a good reputation, etc, Im probably the guy.

The regular guy term may sound modest but its the truth - finding the right house/property for a decent price is stressful. Dealing with a straight shooter, someone you can trust is a luxury. Combine the honesty with extensive personal experience buying and selling for personal/business investments and that is invaluable.
Derrik you have always provided great advice and Im excited to be starting working with you on a ‘professional’ level - more than dinners and happy hours here and there.

I can vouch for Derrick’s claim that he won’t be mistaken for Donald Trump anytime soon (though Derrick - with enough hair product I think you could transform your surfer hair into an awesome comb over), drives a family van, but genuinely cares about what you want in a home and will bust his ass to get it.
