My latest pet peave, the cell saga continues
I really do not mean to beat up the cell phone issues. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I am always near my phone. It is the only phone number I have. We had a land line in our house up until a few months back. In fact it could have been a year ago, I do not really recall. The land line was never used, when it rang we knew it was probably a solicitation. The only time I used it was for making outgoing calls when I wanted the caller ID blocked.
Okay, so I am semi organized in that I have one phone number. When I want to shut it off, I do. Cant find me anywhere else (via phone anyway, never fear, laptop/gmail close at hand).
But here is my pet peave. Why do people insist on calling from numbers they do not want to be called back on? It drives me nuts. And listen, I get it on occasion, you are at a friends house, office, home, whatever. But when you call me from one number and leave me a voice message saying call me back at X, well, chances are Im driving! I am going to hit the “call the number that just called me” button.
In most cases I am going to call back within minutes. I was on another call. Busy blogging. Shooting up a casino on the xbox 360 with Griffin and Gavin, etc.
So, if you want me to call you on your cell, call me from your cell. If you dont want me to know your home number, dont use that line. Seems simple enough, basic logic really. And to the guy with 3 pagers and 2 cell phones on your hip, dont call me at all.
And to you keyboard crunchers, I love your emails.

The worst are those whose numbers that don’t come out at all. When I had a missed call, I don’t even know who called.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
I agree with the fact that people who want to be called back should call from a number that they expect to be called back on. Although i rarely return calls i always have my phonebook synced to a free service online (http://zyb.com) so i can access my phonenumbers, calendar, text messages whenever i dont have my phone with me.
