where not to go

Okay, I am working on a list of where to go…

For now, where not to go if you want either of the following. Service with a smile, or quick service, forgot both.

The Brueggers at 46th and Nicollet in Minneapolis has about the least friendliest staff I have ever seen.  It is consistent.  When I go there I feel almost guilty for giving Brueggers business and making these people work, really! I do not go there frequently, but it is near enough our kids preschool which makes it rather convenient.

Today I stopped by and happened to run into a friend and fellow realtor Scot Pekarek. While we lingered in this endless line of waiting we had a quick conversation about the consistently slow service.

Oh well.  Good bagels, bad service.

hah, funny you mention that particular Brueggers. I too stop at that one occasionally and can express similar dissatisfaction.

The thing that really floored me was the manager. Not sure if he was there (or still works there) but not only was he and his staff rediculously slow, but it was like he tried to compensate by talking and moving really quickly/twitchily without doing much.

My gut reaction was he’s a meth head.

Not trying to slam anybody here but whats up with the work ethic of recent generations?

Wow, this shows you how long I’ve been away from my good old childhood Kingfield. Last time I was around those parts Bruegger’s was still a fire station…
